At GJC Law, Andrea assists in a broad spectrum of family law matters, including both cross-border and local disputes. Her practice is centred on guiding clients through the legal and practical complexities that may arise from the breakdown of relationships, with a focus on achieving stable and workable outcomes for families.

Andrea approaches each matter with empathy and a strong sense of responsibility, recognising that family proceedings often involve deeply personal and emotionally charged issues, particularly where children are concerned. Andrea is committed to supporting clients with clarity and care, ensuring that they are well-informed at every stage of the process.

Adopting a practical and holistic approach, Andrea considers not only the legal merits of each case but also the broader circumstances affecting her clients, including parenting dynamics and financial realities. She works closely with senior lawyers in managing both straightforward and more complex matters, and is alive to the strategic and procedural considerations that arise in family proceedings.

Through her training with Head Lawyer, Ms Gloria James-Civetta, Andrea has assisted in a range of family law matters, supporting clients through various stages of proceedings, including:

  • Interim Custody, Care and Control (“ICCC”) and Guardianship of Infants Act (“GIA”) applications;
  • Ancillary matters hearings;
  • Maintenance proceedings;
  • Personal Protection Order applications; and
  • Simplified divorce proceedings.

With a strong foundation in family law and experience in handling sensitive and high-conflict situations, Andrea takes a structured and client-oriented approach to her work. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate the process with confidence while working towards fair, constructive, and sustainable outcomes.
