- Beverly Lim

Beverly was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2017.

Qualifications:
  • Advocate and Solicitor (Singapore), 2017
  • LL.B (Hons), National University of Singapore, 2016
Beverly's Family Law Experience:

Beverly assists the firm’s Head Lawyer, Ms Gloria James-Civetta, in various contentious matrimonial matters for both local and expatriate clients.

Beverly believes that the first port of call is always for parties to attempt to negotiate an amicable settlement. She is a strong advocate for parties to reach a middle ground and will not shy away from reiterating the need for parties to have a reality check. Beverly firmly believes that mediation offers a platform for parties to reach a favorable outcome with as little animosity as possible. She has assisted clients in preparing documents and drafting proposals for the purpose of without prejudice meetings and mediation sessions.

However, in instances where all goodwill has been exhausted and clients have no choice but to litigate, Beverly will zealously protect her clients’ best interest and leave no stones unturned. She will render practical advice for her clients so that they can understand their legal positions and make informed decisions.

Over and above divorce proceedings, Beverly had assisted in numerous child related matters such as helping clients apply for or defend against interim care and control and relocation applications. She strongly believes that the children’s wellbeing is of utmost importance and will go the limit to ensure that their interests are not sidelined.

Beverly has represented clients in the following matrimonial proceedings:

  • Pre-Writ negotiations and Mediation;
  • Contentious and non-contentious divorce proceedings;
  • Interim Custody, Care and control;
  • Division of matrimonial assets;
  • Maintenance of wife and child;
  • Deed of Separation and Marital Agreement;
  • Personal Protection Orders.

“I will do my utmost to protect my client’s interest and help them move on with their lives.”
