Hilary’s Family Law Experience:
Hilary’s passion in making a difference to families and young children led her to become a family lawyer.
As a family lawyer, she sees an opportunity to provide guidance and support people as they navigate through tumultuous matrimonial proceedings which can take a toll on parties emotionally and mentally. She believes that a good family lawyer is one who keenly listens for the client’s wants and concerns and is thus able to offer a holistic and solution-oriented approach.
Hilary assists the firm’s head lawyer, Ms Gloria James-Civetta, in various contentious matrimonial matters for both local and expatriate clients.
She assists on various family-related proceedings, such as interim custody, care and control (ICC) applications, relocation applications and other heavily contested matters. She also has experience in the drafting of legal submissions in relation to the aforementioned proceedings and ancillary matters such as division of matrimonial assets and maintenance (spousal and child).
Apart from that, Hilary has assisted in mediation sessions in the resolution of complex ancillary and matrimonial issues for various high-net-worth clients.
“It is my duty to provide my clients with a solution-oriented approach such that they are able to move on from these proceedings with peace of mind.”
